MAGS KEEPS SCORING
DECEMBER 22 – WAYNE, NJ – It was a second difficult game for the Crusaders, but Matt Maglio continues to find ways to create offense. For the second time in two games, Mags scored a short-handed goal against Don Bosco Prep, but the number of penalties seems to have hampered the Crusader offense through the past two games.
After a scoreless first period, the Ironmen held a 1-0 lead at the end of two periods. They extended the lead to 2-1, six minutes into the third period. Maglio cut the lead in half nine minutes in, but Bosco answered shortly after with an insurance goal. That nailed down a 3-1 victory and two-game regular season sweep of the Crusaders. They two may still well see each other in the County, Gordon Cup and State tournaments.
