Sam Roca Named Bergen Catholic Soccer Head Coach

ORADELL, NJ, March 24, 2026– Bergen Catholic is excited to announce the hiring of Sam Roca as the new Bergen Catholic varsity soccer head coach. Roca comes to BC following a successful head coaching career at St. Joseph’s Metuchen (2020-2025), where he recently led the Falcons to a (18-1) record in 2025, and a statewide ranking of #11 overall in NJ. Roca was named the 2025 New Jersey State Coach of the Year for Private/Parochial Schools.

In addition to coaching at the high school level, Roca currently serves as Head Technical Director and First Assistant Coach for NJ United AC, a semi-professional NPSL club.

During his playing career, Roca was a standout student-athlete at Wayne Valley High School, before playing collegiately at the University of South Carolina and High Point University. Upon graduation, Roca played professionally in Canada, Sweden and in the United States.
