Bergen Catholic Students Spend a Day on Wall Street
ORADELL, NJ, April 22, 2026 – The Bergen Catholic Finance and Investing club recently had the opportunity to take an unforgettable educational trip to New York City, centered around a visit to the New York Stock Exchange. The day began with a warm welcome from Anthony Matesic ‘88, AP ‘25, who hosted the group and provided breakfast, before bringing his fellow Crusaders onto the trading floor. Mr. Matesic explained his role as a market maker and gave the students a behind-the-scenes look at how trades are executed.
After their time on the trading floor, the BC group visited the iconic Charging Bull statue on Wall Street, and then paid their respects at the 9/11 Memorial including for the BC alumni who were lost on that day.
The trip concluded with a business lunch at Eataly, graciously hosted by Mrs. Benedetta Watros AP ‘23. We thank our two BC alumni parents for offering this incredible experience in the financial world to our Bergen Catholic students and for being mentors and leaders.
