ORADELL, NJ, September 11, 2026 – On this 25th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, Bergen Catholic honored the 2,977 victims who lost their lives on that day by planting 2,977 American flags around the BC campus, including in front of our own 9-11 memorial which honors our Crusader alumni who lost their lives in the World Trade Center in 2001. The school also hosted a school wide prayer service bringing together the prayers of the entire BC school community on this somber day of remembrance.

We honor and remember those BC Alumni: John Bocchi ’81, Thomas LaBarbiera ‘91 Domenick Mircovich ’79, Marc Murolo ’91, James O’Grady ’87, Steven Schlag ‘78
Christopher Vialonga ’89, Martin Wohlforth ’72, and Robert Zampieri ’89.

We pray for the BC families and honor the memories of all those who lost their lives 25 years ago. We also thank all of the first responders who courageously sacrificed to help those in need. May we all learn to love and lead in the same fashion in our own lives, and never forget those we lost in 2001.

Blessed Edmund Rice pray for us, live Jesus in our hearts, forever.
