BC Environmental Research Team Studies Black Carbon
ORADELL, NJ, March 4, 2024– Bergen Catholic students that are a part of Dr. Callanan’s environmental research team have been working on quantifying black carbon found in soils in areas that have been exposed to prescribed fire. Black carbon is an environmentally stable form of carbon.
This project is also a part of Dr. Callanan’s ongoing research, as she serves as a research affiliate at Montclair State University in addition to serving on the Bergen Catholic faculty.
