ORADELL, NJ, September 29, 2026 – Congratulations to our 15 Bergen Catholic seniors in the Class of 2027 who earned national academic distinction from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. BC’s Alexander Shen and Ian Ghacibeh were named National Merit Semifinalists, an exclusive academic honor given to only the top 1% of high schoolers in the nation. National Merit Scholarship winners will be announced in Spring 2027.

These 15 Bergen Catholic students qualified for national academic accolades based on their elite scores on the 2025 PSAT/NMSQT exam which was taken last October during their junior years. Congratulations to our 15 BC seniors for achieving academic excellence as National Merit Semifinalists and National Merit Commended Students. Deus Vult!
