Prior to BC, Brian served as Head of School for EF Academy – a boarding and day school in Westchester County, New York, was the Head of School at Rockland Country Day School in Congers, NY, and served as both a teacher and administrator at The Harvey School in Katonah, NY, where his teaching career began in 1997.
He has served as President of the Mahopac School Board, a trustee of Catholic Memorial, and currently serves as a trustee of Iona Prep.
Dr. Mahoney earned a BA in History from Siena College, an M.Ed. in Teaching from Fordham University, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy from Fordham University in 2008.
In 2004, the National Association of Independent Schools awarded Dr. Mahoney the E.E. Ford Fellowship for aspiring school heads.
Brian resides in Mahopac, NY with his wife, Amy, and their children, Brendan, Patrick and Cameron.
