2024 Bergen Catholic Gala 50-50 Raffle Terms & Conditions

Bergen Catholic is excited to announce the 2024 Gala 50-50 Raffle! All proceeds of the raffle are for the benefit of Bergen Catholic’s Student Tuition Assistance Fund.

Date:

• The Raffle will be drawn on Thursday, November 21, 2024 at 10:00pm, at The Venetian in Garfield, New Jersey.
• There will be two winners. The first ticket drawn will receive 35% of the gross proceeds. The second ticket drawn will receive 15% of the gross proceeds. Winners do not need to be present at the drawing to win. The winner will be notified by phone and/or email on Friday, November 22, 2024.

Eligibility:

• Must be a legal resident of the United States and must be eighteen (18) years of age or older to participate. No one UNDER the age of 18 may be listed on the ticket.

Entry:

• Tickets are one hundred dollar ($100.00) each.
• A maximum of two thousand (2,000) tickets will be sold.
• Each ticket shall represent an equal opportunity to win the raffle.
• By purchasing a ticket, purchaser enters this raffle and accepts and agrees to be bound by all of the rules, regulations, limitations, and restrictions set forth herein.

Prizes:

• The 1st prize is 35% and 2^nd prize is 15% of gross amount collected.
• No substitutions will be made
• Prize winnings are considered taxable income and, as required by the Internal Revenue Service and the State of New Jersey Division of Taxation, 27% in taxes will be withheld from the prize money (24% federal & 3% state). The winner will be issued a Form W-2G for the 2024 tax year related to these winnings.  
• Any tax obligations related to the prize will be the sole responsibility of the winner. The raffle is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, and is void wherever prohibited or restricted by law.
• The cost of the raffle ticket is not deductible as a charitable contribution for income tax purposes. It is recommended that the winner consult a tax advisor.
